Let’s get started

After spending three days in quarantine and passing the PCR test, we were allowed to (first) pay the PCR test (more expensive than in Switzerland!), (second) receive our “end-of-quarantine-certificate”, and (third) go back to the airport and get our passports back. With the help of a good friend, all this was pretty easy to manage…

Like this, on Saturday 12th February we could finally go out for a first look-around in the city center of Malabo and take a look at the apartment where we will spend the next days.

On Sunday 13th February we met another Guinean friend who immediately offered to be the first participant of our study! We spent the whole Sunday afternoon sitting in a kind of “Buvette” at the beautiful Paseo Marítimo exchanging experiences and doing research at the same time. Thanks to the cloudy weather and nice wind we could really enjoy it!
