Presenting our corpus and first results

Four years ago, I participated for the first time in the Congress of the Asociación Internacional de Hispanistas (AIH), which then took place in Jerusalem. At that time, I gave a talk, together with Beatrice Schmid, on the linguistic and ideological functions of glosses in modern Judeo-Spanish texts.

This week, the AIH congress is taking place again, this time here in Switzerland at the Université de Neuchâtel. Together with Sara Carreira, I presented our project on the Spanish in Equatorial Guinea and in particular our corpus of data that we collected in the country using different methods: sociolinguistic questionnaire, linguistic questionnaire, sociolinguistic guideline interview, adapted version of the story "Frog, where are you?", and verbal guise test. Sara then presented preliminary results on the use and distribution of the structure "verb + preposition a en + destination" in Equatoguinean Spanish.
