Radio interview on “África hoy”
A few days after our successful conference “Spanish in Africa past, present and future”, I was interviewed on the radio program “África hoy”, which is broadcast daily during the week on Radio Exterior de España, dependent on Radio Nacional de España (RNE).
In a very pleasant conversation with Mavi Aldana, I talked about the content and aims of our conference and about the uniqueness of the topic in the field of Spanish linguistics. In fact, our conference was a very special opportunity to discuss similarities and differences, as well as common challenges and opportunities of Spanish in the different African regions: Equatorial Guinea, Western Sahara, Morocco, Ceuta and Melilla. We were able to address some of these aspects, as well as the importance of the Spanish language in Africa and thoughts on its future, in the interview.
Hopefully this important and fascinating topic will receive additional attention and visibility thanks to this interview, which can be listened to here.
Many thanks to the whole team of “África hoy” (Radio Exterior de España) for the invitation to the interview!
